You can get the written test in the book by Taylor Hartman "The Color Code". You can also check it out from the library.
I did find this link for a 'printable' "Color Code Test for Youth".

My husband and I discussed each of our children that night to see if we could determine what color we thought each of them were..... In talking we had the same opinions of each child. At dinner I brought it up with the kids, my older children had taken these tests at school and knew what they were. My husband and I were right about each of them. I love that now I can study how I can be a better mom with each of them and help them (and me) develop qualities we may not have yet established. I really enjoyed this class!

This class was a real eye opener for me. As of late my 7 yr old and I have been really struggling. Tears of frustration have been shed on both sides. Turns out that we are the same color. I'm so glad that I have some tools to help me understand our relationship better.

I feel the same way as Tami! My almost 7 year old and I have been struggling (to put it lightly) Tears of frustration all the time. I felt like I have tried everything and none of it is working. I'm really blue and she's really red. I feel like using the color code to use a new approach could really help us get somewhere. I'm so thankful for this lesson and that it was this week. Finally some hope for our relationship!

I have learned about the color code test for years now and I love when Sister Tanner teaches it again and again. This last time I just sat back and listened (rather than looked for something to write down) and I learned more about myself and my blueness. I came to class expecting to learn how to deal more positively with my likely-blue 6 year old and felt frustrated when I felt like there was nothing there for me. But pondering on the things I heard and the notes I did write down/syllabus notes I realized that I learned more about me. What I needed to do so I can choose to interact positively rather than figure my 6 year old out. I'm glad Sister Tanner points out the weaknesses and strengths found in all the colors so we can choose where to support and where to reign in just a touch, in ourselves and family members.

I came home and talked to my husband about the color code and asked him what color he was (he had done it in college). He said he was red and blue. I don't see the red, but I will have him do the test again to see if it's different now. Thanks for the links!

My husband and I have discussed this class a lot over the last few days. We have decided that we will have the kids and my husband take the test tonight for FHE after our lesson. We have come up with colors for 3 out of our 4 teenagers but we are excited to see our oldest son's results. We cannot decide what he is. I have also placed the book on hold at the library.

We just finished taking the Color test with my kids and hubby. I had pinpointed two of my children correctly and two of them I was way off on. I had one son that was a combination of three colors because he wasn't solidly one color. Does this happen often? I am anxious to sit down and reread the syllabus and look at the different ways I can be a more effective parent.

We are planning on doing the color code test as a family one FHE. I am interested to see what color all my kids are. I have tried to look at each of my children and see the things that they individually need from me.

In class someone mentioned there was a color code test for children (noting, of course, that kids have most of the colors because of being under age 10 or so). Does anyone know where I can find it? My kids are young but I'm pretty sure one is a blue like me. I'd love to do the test for the kids and just see where we are at this point in time.

Like Lea I too would like to know the test for children. I kind of know their color but having a hard time really pinning it down. I am confused about my 6 yr old and he is the one I would really like to figure out so I can lead him better. I want to help my little ones magnify their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses.

I have taken this test a number of times, but this time I was surprised to see that my secondary color is now my primary color. And it may have been all the time, but I am now just coming to realize it.

I really appreciate the handouts from class on strengths and limitations on the parent side as well as the needs of the kids and how to help them grow.

It's been fun to read the comments. I learned I was more blue than red- which I'm glad about. My husband is very much blue and when we talked about blues he was saying how much he loves to be appreciated which is something I really never knew he needed. I felt like I was always saying to him I needed to feel appreciated. But it was an eye opener for me and I'm grateful we were able to talk it over so I can tune into what he needs more. I have found this week it's been hard for me to pin point what my kids are- maybe it's that they are still young enough to be many of them. I have been continuing to teach them the importance of personal and family prayer and scripture study each day and I have felt it helping our family soo much. it has helped my relationship with my difficult one right now. But I feel it has helped me to be more patient and I have the spirit with me more to deal with the situations way better that come during my day. So grateful for all I'm learning and how I'm growing.

This lesson was so helpful to me. I have a pretty good idea what color my children are, but liked the reminder to not pigeon hole them into that color as they are still pretty young. I feel like after the homework I can understand their motivations better. I had my husband take the test and feel like some of the do's and don'ts for his color fit perfectly! I think this knowledge will help our relationship as well.
